I just got the Islamic compass and I like it. But the compass doesn't work, I guess because my ipod touch does not have a magnenometer as stated in FAQ section. How then can I still enjoy this compass function of the App? or how do I determine the qibla direction? thanks

In the settings page of my iPhone I don't have islamic item under notifications. I have deleted and reinstalled the app but still nothing under notifications. Can you please advocacy.

Salaamun alaik! I bought this application via iTunes just before Ramadhan begins a little more than a fortnight ago. For the most part I am very thankful for the application, it is very-very helpful especially with the fact that I live in Southern England where there's no Mesjid nor any Minaret from where I could hear Athan from to notify me for each of the 5 daily prayers. For that I thank you for building the application! Jazaakallah khairan! Although my only criticism is the fact that the calendar doesn't track the actual day/date i.e. one had to swipe the calendar on a dayly basis to get to the right page to be able to see the right prayer times. It would be nice if this feature could be added to the next update, I mean I agree with the ability to swipe through to the unlimited future prayer timings but it would also be nice, if when you open up the application at the beginning of the day, the calendar/prayer times would show the right day instead of the previous day and you having to swipe the calendar manually. And also it would be nice to have a functionality that allows you to "jump to" or search for a particular date as well as "jump back" to the current date/"jump back" to 'today' so to speak. That would be another good function instead of having to swipe hundreds of times to see when next Ranadhan would start in Gregorian calendar (for example). But all in all, I am very happy with the application, and look forward to great updates in the future. Again Jazaakallah-khairan. (NB: I downloaded version 2.0 by the way and both my iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch runs OS 4.0 or higher.)

Ramadan Mubarrak Islamic Compass: I purchased your application a few days, ago. For the most part, I am enjoying it. However, the Adhan Selection may have a malfunction. For example, it makes the adhan for Dhur Prayer only. It does not advance for the 'Asr, Maghrib, 'Isha, and Fajr adhans. I have attempted to manually advance the adhan, but to no avail. I had to restore my iPhone OS 3.1.2 and try to reinstall "Islamic Compass" from iTunes but it says no support for older OS version. السلام عليكم في الاصدار الجديد الذي يدعم الملتي تاسك فرحنا بخاصية تشغيل الأذان حتى والبنامج مغلق ، ولكن أصبنا بخيبة امل من الطريقة التي ينطلق بها الأذان كاملا ، حيث يظهر أشعار فقط بحلول وقت الصلاة ومن ثم تختار اما سماع الأذان او تجاهله وكان المفروض انطلاق الأذان مباشرة وقت حلول وقت الصلاة أتمني تعديل البرنامج وجزاكم الله خيراً

Are the 9 Adhan's all different? If so, what are each of them? Need to know in order to select the right one, i.e., Sunni from the Shia, etc. If that is how they are programed.

I was in London when I select the culcalation methods um alqoura alfajar time is not displayed why you do not display the name of the city I am in it this will give good feeling for the user about the application and the result you can use the google map to get the location

The call for prayer is Not stable. It is right most of the time. Sometimes it calls earlier or well after.

Unfortunately it's only possible to play a sound file with maximum length of 30 seconds when receiving a push notification. It's just how Apple created the push notification service. So it's impossible to hear the full adhan when the application is closed. You will hear a full adhan however when you keep the application open, because it doesn't need to make use of Apple's push notification service.

It covers the time for Fajr prayer and stays there for a long time. Can u please remove it or atleast shorten it so it doesn't cover the Fajr Adhan time. Thank u

Unfortuntely the compass is not pointing towards Makkah, it is like 20degree offset. The software requires internet connection to syncronize ur location extra cost, this. Operation done frequently. Adhan isnot working with my 3gs iphone. Overall i regrat that i bought it there are free softwares like ipray matching this software.

Thanks for true valuable application. I have the following enhancements suggestion: 1- display both hijri and geregorian calendars at the prayers tab. 2- provide hijri to gergorian calenders conversions 3- display Islamic events for the current year with historical events capability. 4- provide prayers time for long periods e.g week month year with historical capability. 5- provide capability to calculate prayer times by different options, using GPS location, city selection or manual coordinates entry for none listed cities.

I have a 3GS Iphone with the latest firmware from the apple. even with internet connection present and notifications are turned on there is no Azan at all. even the speakers where the time for azan are they do not change when I press or tap them. it looks they do not work at all. Would like to inform you that the Azan does not come no azan at all on my Iphone 3GS with the latest firmware. Secondly: in the settings I cannot see if you can do the azan separetly like I do not not like azan at sunrize time. Lastly for now there is no islamic calender like Eid and things like that. Like another application that uses push notif to triger athan it always need internet connection in order to do that. Why can you make this application to only synchronize to server or recalculate prayer time when the phone's GPS detected that it shifted in significant longitude that will affect on prayer time calculation. Here my sugestion : 1. Every new day start it synchronized to server and send it's location. Server calculated prayer time for all day long (Fajr to Isya') and send the information back to the phone. So if the rest of the day the phone have no internet connection it still sound the prayer time when it comes base on latest recorded position. 2. If you (and your phone) shifted significant longitude along the globe, the phone's GPS will contacts server, server recalculates the prayer time for all day long and sends back to the phone. 3. Using that method I think this application not necessarily to always connected to internet in order to get push prayer time alarm notification. Regards Dhien2

Salam. Great app for Muslims. I use a 3Gs but somehow the qibla is always pointing at a slight left angle from the qibla we usually pray towards, even in mosques. Any way to correct this? I've moved the 3Gs in a figure 8, and kept distance from other electronic items. Tq.

Salam. This Islamic Compass is good. It is better off without push notification especially for azan because the notification is always late to arrive. Minor correction needed on your spelling. Please correct from "Troggle" to "Toggle" at Prayer Tiimes screen. Also, please improve the guide on "Settings & Info" because there's no info onwhat "Server Connection" is and when should it be set ON or OFF. Wassalam.

Unfortunately there is no way to let the compass work on a 3G device, because it doesn't have a magnetometer and therefor simply doesn't know where north is compared to the ipnones position. The only thing you can do now is pointing the iphone to the north yourself to find the direction to Qibla. At the time when you got yourself an iphone 3Gs you can install the app for free on it because you bought it already.

Using push technology to activate alarm cost money because cellular providers charge the user for receiving data over the network, why not using the phone’s clock for alarm. Five times a day for a full year is a lot of money.

Unfortunately it's only possible to play a soundfile with maximum length of 30 seconds when receiving a push notification. So it's impossible to hear the full athan. It's just how Apple created the push notification service.

I had wrote to you before to let you know that your App was superb!!! I would like to report some "glitches" I have been experiencing with Islamic Compass. 1- The Push Athan work good at times & others I get Athans at the wrong time, for eg: at midnight I get the Zuhr Athan. 2- The compass is not accurate, it reports at different direction from the same spot! DST adjustment is very important indeed! We uploaded a new update which will automatically adjust times in locations which uses DST Adjustment. It will take 2 weeks will the update is available because of the review process by Apple.

Hi, Thanks for adding push-notifications. The only thing left I want to see is the Diyanet Vakfi calculation method (The Precidency of Religious Affairs Turkey). With this method we can have the Ramadan times with us. Then with push notifications the app can alarm us one minute before we can eat again. It would make it very useful. Dear Dr. Ahshin Thank you for your feedback. The application will work on the 3G, but the compass will not turn like on the 3Gs. Instead you will have to point it north yourself. The arrow will point the Qibla location automaticly by your GPS location. Prayer times will work without any problem. In our 1.3 version we release push notification for Prayer Times and additional calculation methods. We are developing better support to our 3G users which will be included in our 1.4 update. Salam Great app. I've noticed that the Delhi and al aqsaa masjid battleground like on the video are not available on android. it will be great if they could be added and also this actual website background is very nice it would be added as default background. Adding the adhan notification will make this application complete. Keep up the good work. Yes, GPS and the compass are still working when you don\'t have access to a mobile network. (tested this by removing the simcard from the iPhone)

You could improve the support for iphone 3g by calibrating the compass with gps (when in movement). With this also 3g users without the hardware compass build in can find directly the qibla.
